Pick Your Own Blueberries in Western Mass!
If it’s July, it must be blueberry season! Blueberries are low in calories but high in nutrients. They help heart health, bone strength, skin health, blood pressure, diabetes management, cancer prevention, and mental health. Wow!
Blueberries can be used in a variety of ways, in jellies, jams, muffins, pies, waffles, added to cereals and yogurt, in a smoothie, in breads, or even as a snack. One of my favorite ways to eat blueberries is to freeze them and eat them outside on a hot summer day! Very refreshing.
What’s better than a plump, juicy blueberry? Blueberries that you pick yourself! We’re lucky here in Hampden County as we have several Pick Your Own blueberry farms. Visit one or more of these Pick Your Own farms, but we suggest calling first just to make sure they are open and have plenty of berries to pick.
