Landlord-Tenant Law and Receiverships

Attorney Christopher Johnson is highly experienced in landlord-tenant law. He represents several major landlords in Western Mass as well as many tenants. He also represents receivers in cases involving abandoned properties.

Due to the current housing crisis, many non-resident owners have abandoned their properties, and sometimes those properties have tenants who are caught in the middle. Fortunately, Springfield has been proactive in creating receiverships for properties that have been abandoned by owners, and attorney Johnson represents the receiver in the largest receivership in Hampden County.

Residential and Commercial Real Estate Closings

We offer experienced attorney representation during home sales and purchases as well as commercial and industrial transactions:

  • Home closings
  • Commercial closings
  • Refinancing

Residential, Commercial and Industrial Real Estate Development

Serving as he does as the city solicitor for the Town of Agawam, attorney Christopher Johnson is very knowledgeable and effective when representing clients in planning board processes, before Conservation Commissions and in the subdivision approval process. He provides educated guidance to clients throughout the board planning process, including zoning and infrastructure approval.

Condominium Association Representation

We represent condominium complexes by collecting common charges and enforcing rules. We also handle general commercial transactions for condo and homeowner associations, such as negotiating and drafting contracts with vendors when associations need to repair roofs or resurface driveways.
