Massachusetts Trespassing Law

In Massachusetts, Chapter 266, Section 120 of the General Laws outlines the crime of trespassing. It prohibits individuals from entering or remaining on someone else’s property without permission after being notified to leave, either verbally or through posted signs. Trespassing is a criminal offense, and violators can face fines or imprisonment. Exceptions may apply to certain public lands or if the individual had legal justification to be on the property. If you have been trespassed and need an attorney, please contact the offices of Johnson, Sclafani & Moriarty at 413-732-8356.
